Model Katie Price Sued By Andre

Peter Andre is taking legal action against ex-wife Katie Price after she hinted in an interview that Andre may not have been faithful.

The 31-year-old model was promoting her new book Sapphire on the UK show GMTV when she was questioned about Andre.

Price told host Ben Shephard that she merely hoped her next partner would be faithful.


“Well, you know when you split up with someone you hear things, so who knows what's true, what's not? But as far as I know I think he was faithful” she said.

Andre is now pursuing legal action over model Price’s the comments, insisting that he has always been faithful and reports saying he cheated were false and hurtful.

In his column for New! Magazine Andre wrote, “I can hold my head up high and say I've been 100 per cent faithful throughout my marriage and still am.”

Taking advantage of her soapbox, Price took the opportunity to drop stealthy comments about Andre’s involvement with the children.

“I haven’t slated him or anything like that, but one good thing that’s come out of it – he’s actually doing things for the kids and it’s really nice to see” she said.

“Whereas me, I’m not doing any like media stuff with the kids because I don’t want to do that, but it’s good to see that Pete’s actually taking the kids out.”

A fashion beauty insider explained

PERTH-BORN Gemma Ward, the thin fashion model who captivated the world fashion scene, has put on weight as she struggles with the loss of friend Heath Ledger.

Ward, seen last week on a Byron Bay beach, is due back on the runway in February and is believed to be madly exercising.

It is understood her weight gains have been exacerbated by the shocking death of the actor, rumoured to have been her lover, a year ago.

"I was really surprised when I saw her, considering what she used to look like - I had to do a double-take after I saw how much weight she had put on,'' one onlooker told The Sunday Telegraph.

After Ledger's death, Ward announced that she planned to take a year off to go trekking in Nepal and spend time with friends and family.

"She knows she did let herself go during the year, but she had fun doing it, just being herself and doing whatever she wanted,'' one friend, who did not want to be named, said.

Ward's older sister, Sophie, also gave up modelling after Ledger died.


"I can't speak for Gemma, but I did stop (modelling) when Heath died because death really makes you re-evaluate what's important in your life,'' she said when contacted by The Sunday Telegraph.

In 2007, Ward earned $3 million from her doll-face looks and was ranked by Forbes magazine as the 11th most highly paid model in the world.

Ward, who divides her time between Australia, Los Angeles and New York, has spent the past few weeks renting a beachside mansion at Suffolk Park with fellow West Australian model Nicole Trunfio.

Although Trunfio has been spotted partying with Cheyenne Tozzi, Jason Dundas and Sneaky Sound System's Daimon Downey, Ward has kept a low profile, staying indoors and swimming at a private beach in front of her rented house.

Ward, 21, was photographed at Tallow Beach on Friday morning, looking very different to the "alien chic'' supermodel that secured 24 Vogue covers in Australia, the US, Britain, China and India.

Braving a wind storm, she emerged from the water in a conservative black one-piece.

Onlookers said Ward was barely recognisable as the supermodel who, at the age of 16, became the youngest female to grace the cover of US Vogue.

Ward has been exercising daily with the help of a personal trainer, but the pair have remained indoors.

A fashion beauty insider explained that Ward would have to keep a low profile if she wanted to protect her future earnings.

"Every kilo a model puts on costs them thousands in potential advertising dollars,'' the insider said.

Golden Globe Winner Sandra Bullock - Best Spot of My Career

Even if Golden Globes double-nominee favorite Sandra Bullock doesn’t take home the coveted statue on Sunday for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy for “The Proposal” or for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her work in the inspirational true story “The Blind Side,” the filming experience has at least helped the Hollywood starlet broaden her friendship circle.

“I met this extraordinary family the Touhys (who the film was based on), who I wish I would have remembered to thank since they already did the extraordinary deed and Michael Oher did the most extraordinary thing in opening his heart and allowing himself to be enveloped by this family,” Bullock excitedly told us backstage at the Critics Choice Awards on Friday after co-winning with (and mouth kissing) Meryl Streep.

“They changed my life and I am so happy to call them friends.And they’re Republicans, and I’m okay with that and they’re okay with me being a Democrat!”

And while most celebrities would like to think their best days are still ahead of them, the 45-year-old had no shame in confessing that her professional life has hit its peak.

“I’m just so happy to be here and I got to share the stage with Meryl Streep,” Bullock gushed. “I just adore her, so that for me was the height of my career and it just happened. I’m so thankful and it’s unexpected, as most good things are.”

But back to “The Blind Side,” the film also taught Bullock what it takes to kick some balls. Sort of.

“My husband was a big football player. I knew nothing of the sport even though I was a cheerleader, which is very sad. But I have such tremendous respect and understanding now of what it takes to be a professional athlete that I didn’t have before — mentally, physically and emotionally,” Bullock recently told us while promoting “The Blind Side,” which was inspired by a true story. “I really had no idea. And the coaches really become the parents to so many, and basically save lives.”

On that note, Bullock has some words of wisdom.

“You’re not allowed to sit as a coach, all fat with your beer and complain that your player isn’t doing what you want them to do,” she said. “Unless you can do that yourself, I think you should just be quiet.”

And although Bullock has managed to win over audiences (and Golden Globe deciders the Hollywood Foreign Press Association) with her role as Leigh Anne Tuohy in the emotionally-charged, all-American film, she insisted she isn’t as a patch on the real life Tuohy when it comes to guts.

“I have no moxy compared to Leigh Anne Tuohy. I am a slug compared to Leigh Anne Tuohy and I will admit I bow down to Leigh Anne Tuohy,” Bullock said. “She scares me and she inspires me and she had such an interesting upbringing. She is so unafraid to barrel through and she doesn’t care who she insults along the way. She doesn’t care what bridges she burns, she has an objective and she is going to get it done and she can get it done. You do not want to cross Leigh Anne.”
