Being completely honest, I truly am not into today's pop artists and their style. I very much hate it sometimes when they are named fashion icons and/or turn into fashion designers and haven't even set foot in a design school. Ok, enough with the rant.
Now this editorial has made me make an exception. The New York Times Style Magazine featured Taylor Swift in their most recent issue and I must say how impressed I am with this shoot.
It was an Alice in Wonderland inspired shoot that definitely took my breath away. I must say I admire how poised, elegant and sweet she looks in every pic. I adore how the makeup looks on her and how she adds grace to everything she's wearing. She totally earns the title of fashion icon in my book.

New Fashion Trends Prediction For Summer 2010
Knowing a lot of designers myself & being close to the industry for plenty of years, I can honestly say plenty of of them disagree on the 'next giant thing' until an authority comes & tells them what it is. From then on, most other designers fall in-line & agree, all claiming that they have been saying that from the beginning... But this year has been different.
It's coming to the finish of winter, shoppers are thinking about potential new fashion trends this spring, while designers are pondering over what new cloths they can think up for summer time.
Plenty of designers appear to be unified in their predictions this year, predicting THRILLS will be this year's how fashion tip (I am glad it is not black again)! Thrills are tipped to be the hot theme for the 2010 summer, & with so plenty of gifted designers thinking so, the experts disagreeing is unlikely!

Hilary Duff Partners with DKNY for Femme Line
Hilary Duff really wants to be a mini-mogul. The 21-year-old singer/actress is currently working on a new fashion line in collaboration with a DKNY.
Her new collection is called Femme for DKNY Jeans.
In a new interview, Hilary said that "One of the hardest things is to come up with a name. But I think Femme works really well and explains the line perfectly as feminine but tough all at the same time. It’s aggressive, but in a good way.”
This is Hilary's second attempt at fashion. About five years ago she released Stuff by Hilary Duff, which is now being phased out.
She said about her previous line, “I’ve lost interest in it, and I’m ready to move on and do other things. I feel like the brand was for younger girls, and I want to do things for girls my own age now. I’ve been learning so much about how the process happens from how much certain things cost to shipping schedules - it has been an amazing learning experience.”
The Femme line will launch this fall in stores and is set to be sold for two seasons.
There's also an option to extend the agreement if it sells well.
Fashion Street Style: a red velvet bow
How perfect is this for a rich, very vintage-inspired take on the bow headband trend? Velvet is great for Winter and so is the sumptuous deep red colour. Bip Ling wears the bow with a pair of raybans and an oversized mens tee.

Who Looks Better: Malin Ackerman, Kourtney Kardashian or Nikki Reed
A trio of Hollywood stars have been spotted in the same outfit over the last few weeks. One is Malin Akerman who starred in Watchmen.
And of course who doesn't know Kourtney Kardashian and Nikki Reed who both have naked pictures scattered over the net.
The Twilight Saga star claims her laptop was stolen, a convenient excuse when shots of her in her birthday suit are released. While Kourtney was on the record saying she'd likely pose naked while pregnant.
pick out the magenta color from the under slip of the dress
I often wonder when I see pictures of Sarah Jessica Parker at Red Carpet events, whether Pat Field does her styling off the set of SATC as well. I think we can all agree that she looks great in this Dress from Dior and I love the way that at over 40, she can wear over the knee dresses with confidence, but with legs like that, who wouldn't? but I am not so sure, in my quest to look "polished" and "well put together" whether I would be wearing Brian Atwood snakeskin shoes in a completely different colorway to anything on the dress. If it was me, I would probably go for plain black shoes or pick out the magenta color from the under slip of the dress. Would this just be playing it safe?
The whole look is very "Carrie", with a mix match of colors and textures which always work on the character but much less so on us mere mortals, who would just look as though we didn't have the appropriate accessories to go with our frock, or couldn't afford them. For once, I think it is a bit overdone, trying too hard perhaps, too much going on in the way of necklaces with a v neck dress and I would limit the arm candy, to just one piece and let the dress do the talking. What do you think?

Came Up With LV Monogram Musette
Last week daughter one, Chloe, came up with her LV Monogram Musette and asked OH to put it in the Royal Exchange City branch for repair. One of the straps had come out, and looked as though it would need restitching. OH thought it would be a good idea to just go to a local Shoe Repairers, but I was having one of it, saying that it would devalue the Bag.
We had bought this for Chloe almost 6 years ago for her 14th Birthday from the Bond Street Branch and although it has been used a fair bit, it hasn't been used everyday. I can remember times when she has pinched bags of mine and used them for months on end, Celine Boogie Bag and Mark Jacobs Stam and I have had a hell of a job prising them off her for me to sell on ebay! Also bear in mind that one of my Boogie Bags, the large brown one, she still has and uses, even though it now looks almost as tatty and old as me! She was at school until she was 18, so the bag didn't get a great deal of use in its first four years.
OH took it to work with him and rang me from the store and said "It will be £42 for a new strap" I said "No thanks, we do not want a new strap, the leather will be pale cream and will look stupid on an old bag (trust an old bag to know) we just want that one restitched".
So he left it with them and trotted off.
Today he got a phone call from them saying "Sorry but the bag has been sent to Paris and they can't restitch it as a chunk of the canvas has gone". WTF?
To say I am furious and want to smash their heads in, is an understatment. So now with all the worry of Daughter 2 having an operation in Central London next week, whilst she is in Theatre, I shall cab it to Bond Street and have a bloody fit, instore, if they don't sort it.

I remember my first LV bag, an Alma. I was so pleased and proud and walked around the City of London as if I was the Dogs Bollocks, I went out for lunch every day, just to show it off, even if it was just to walk to Kossoffs for a Bagel (I used to love their cream cheese and always followed it up with a buttered Rock Cake! Does anyone know if they are still in Middlesex Street?). Anyway, I digress. The first day I walked into the office with it, my boss said "That bag will last you a lifetime" and it would have if I hadn't sold it! but why hasn't Chloe's lasted a lifetime. More shit for me to sort out next week, as if I haven't got enough on my plate!
Celebrity Shoes With Vertiginous Heels Evoke As Much Interest
Promise HELLE Women's Studded Sandals
Think Jennifer Lopez, think shoes with vertiginous heels !! Few other celebrities' shoes evoke as much interest as Jennifer's for hers are as stylish as they are impossible to walk in, except for the seasoned fashionistas. When one needs to be picky about what one buys these days, rethinking a thousand times whether something is really necessary, this could be the one pair of shoes that you would want to add to your shoe closet, this season. However I would prefer these shoes in a glammed up golden color to effortlessly wear with the many black or shimmery dresses that one ends up grazing the evening in.If you concur with me, then go ahead and indulge in one of the most happening shoes of this season.
Here some Jennifer Lopez shoes and sandals she used :
