Alexander Wang And Vena Cava hit Gap | Fashion Trend Collection

I have a feeling that I won't be having that much left over cash this Summer. Why, oh why are designers teaming up with affordable brands?? Ok, it is a good thing, but it's gonna leave me broke!
I mean after J.P. Gautier's and Zac Posen's (tho I was kinda dissapointed with Zac's - the prices are a tad out of my league; I am a poor college student after all) collections with Target and now Alex Wang & Vena Cava bringing the khaki deal back to life (and to my closet) I won't have any spending money left over for ice cream.

However the pieces are pretty imaginative.
Safari anyone??

Futuristic Fashion Trend - evolutionary change

Futuristic Fashion Trend
Futurism. It's something of a paradox. The future cannot be predicted; but in envisioning it, we can create self-fulfilling prophecies. You could go crazy just thinking about it - so instead let's just say that the dawn of a new decade has sent 2010's fashion trends into sci-fi and futurism overdrive.

So how do we define futuristic fashion? As a Spring 2010 fashion trend it seems to be less about gadgetry and more about future environments. We're faced with collections that contemplate dystopia or evolutionary change. Topics of science fiction are woven into the threads of some designers' clothing, while others base their designs on more traditional views of futurism.

Miraclesuits style flatters with a deep V and knotted details - BHTS5SMNYC4C

Miraclesuit's style flatters with a deep V and knotted detailsSome swimwear styles for full-busted women can look matronly, but this Miraclesuit's style flatters with a deep V and knotted details.

Flatter a Full Bust: Halter necks are flattering on a full bust. Look for soft cups, underwire or boning for extra support. Thicker straps offer slip-proof coverage.

What to Avoid for a Full Bust: Skip ornamentation in the bust area. Avoid stripes or patterns on the bust area.

Modern Designer Valentino Collection

Anyone looking for proof that it is a new day at Valentino need only have tuned in to the Golden Globes, where Chloë Sevigny nabbed an award in a gown by the label's new designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. It wasn't so outré that Mr. Valentino would have disapproved, but it was definitely more avant than anything the label's founder was doing before they retired. That is a lovely way to report the duo's pre-fall collection. The lace, the exquisite beadwork, and the ruffles and frills the house is known for are still there, but they are executed in a more modern (read: shorter) way. Now in their fifth season with the house (counting couture), Chiuri and Piccioli did red for the first time. But we are not talking your typical Valentino red chiffon. In lieu, they showed a patent trench, leather motorbike pants worn with a fox overweight in the same hue, as well as a party dress of red paillettes sewn onto nude tulle. Piccioli called it a "dangerous red." It is risks like those that should pay off with the young crowd they are wooing.

New Fashion Trends Prediction For Summer 2010

New Fashion Trends Prediction For Summer 2010
Knowing a lot of designers myself & being close to the industry for plenty of years, I can honestly say plenty of of them disagree on the 'next giant thing' until an authority comes & tells them what it is. From then on, most other designers fall in-line & agree, all claiming that they have been saying that from the beginning... But this year has been different.

New Fashion Trends Prediction For Summer 2010

It's coming to the finish of winter, shoppers are thinking about potential new fashion trends this spring, while designers are pondering over what new cloths they can think up for summer time.

Plenty of designers appear to be unified in their predictions this year, predicting THRILLS will be this year's how fashion tip (I am glad it is not black again)! Thrills are tipped to be the hot theme for the 2010 summer, & with so plenty of gifted designers thinking so, the experts disagreeing is unlikely!

Simple Accessories For Spring 2010

Although it may not feel like it right now, Spring will soon be here! This season, soft pastel shades are making a come back, with key colours such as cream and light pinks a great way to refresh winter wardrobes. Team with light greys for elegant workwear options and add punches of colour with simple accessories.

Hilary Duff Partners with DKNY for Femme Line

Hilary Duff Partners with DKNY for Femme Line
Hilary Duff really wants to be a mini-mogul. The 21-year-old singer/actress is currently working on a new fashion line in collaboration with a DKNY.

Her new collection is called Femme for DKNY Jeans.

In a new interview, Hilary said that "One of the hardest things is to come up with a name. But I think Femme works really well and explains the line perfectly as feminine but tough all at the same time. It’s aggressive, but in a good way.”

This is Hilary's second attempt at fashion. About five years ago she released Stuff by Hilary Duff, which is now being phased out.

She said about her previous line, “I’ve lost interest in it, and I’m ready to move on and do other things. I feel like the brand was for younger girls, and I want to do things for girls my own age now. I’ve been learning so much about how the process happens from how much certain things cost to shipping schedules - it has been an amazing learning experience.”

The Femme line will launch this fall in stores and is set to be sold for two seasons.

There's also an option to extend the agreement if it sells well.

Famous London Home of Fashion Trends

London is always famous to be at the cutting edge of fashion. But a new research says that the girls in North Britain are far more glamorous than the London fashionistas.

The ladies from the places including Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool are quicker to pick up on the fashion trends, compared to the southern lasses. They are also up to date with the style and latest trends than those down the south.

Leeds in West Yorkshire kicked off the killer heels look where as Scousers from Liverpool, including the model WAG Alex Curran were among the most popular on the fake tan trends and wear the hair curlers out.

Famous London Home of Fashion Trends

Glasgow girls were fastest to turn on the hair straighteners where as Geordies were the fake-eyelashes' trendsetters. Brummies had headed to wearing shorts the earliest and Cardiff girls were the earliest with the subtle lip glosses. The Essex girls were the early adopters of WAG style shades, while Bournemouth came up with pioneer push-up bras.

London gals generally have headed for the spark duller styles including the skinny jeans and 'the boyfriend look'. They were always the well-liked and attention grabbing fashion styles.

The figures emerged after Debenhams analysed sales from the past decade. "It is assumed trends start in London but northern cities tend to pick up on trends faster and wear them bigger and brighter,” says a spokesman.
